Founded in 1984 by Phil Farnsworth, a United States Army veteran, the business started out of his garage. With Phil’s passion, dedication, and craftsmanship, the business quickly gained a reputation for excellence and reliability.
Over the years, Architectural Wood Design, Inc. has grown and expanded its operations, moving to a 40,000 square foot facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology and machinery. The business is now run by Phil’s son, Corey Farnsworth, who shares his father’s vision and values. Accounts Payable Clerk
Role Description:
We are looking for a professional, highly organized, and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, maintain accurate records, and provide general administrative support to the CFO. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, proficiency in QuickBooks, and the ability to think ahead, stay ahead of deadlines, and handle high-pressure situations efficiently. The perfect candidate will be someone who can anticipate the needs of the team, be proactive in their work, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
- Review and verify invoices for appropriate documentation and approval.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain organized files and records for all accounts payable transactions.
- Handle incoming inquiries from vendors and internal staff regarding payments and discrepancies.
- Assist the CFO with various administrative tasks, including running errands, managing appointments, and other support as needed.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality with sensitive financial data.
- Prepare reports as requested by the CFO.
- Assist in audits and special projects as needed.
- Monitor accounts payable aging and ensure timely payments to avoid late fees.
- Help streamline and improve accounts payable processes to enhance efficiency and reduce errors. Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
- Respond to phone calls, address inquiries, prepare written materials, and answer questions from suppliers, contractors, and other departments regarding accounts payable or payments.
- Maintain physical files, upload documents into INNERGY, and monitor office supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Process expense reports, assist the Accounts Payable Department, ensure all invoices are scanned and uploaded into INNERGY, and manage invoice logging and processing to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Clean the breakroom, conference room, and reception area daily, maintain office equipment, and coordinate maintenance requests.
- Perform various office errands as required.
- Welcome visitors and vendors, manage phone calls, relay messages, check voicemails, and handle daily mail sorting.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Estimator
Role Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled Estimator to join our estimating team. As an estimator, you will play a critical role in the pre-construction phase by providing reliable pricing data that guides decision-making and project planning. This role involves analyzing blueprints, performing material takeoffs, calculating labor costs, and coordinating with subcontractors to ensure detailed and competitive project bids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and scope documents to fully understand project requirements, finishes, and technical details related to casework.
- Accurately quantify materials needed for all casework components, such as cabinets, drawers, shelves, and panels, accounting for waste and design variations.
- Calculate labor hours required for fabrication and installation based on project complexity, crew capabilities, and schedule constraints.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors for specialty items like hardware, countertops, and finishes, and integrate into estimates.
- Develop comprehensive estimates that clearly itemize material costs, labor, overhead, and profit margins to support project proposals and client presentations.
- Collaborate with clients, project managers, and internal teams to clarify project scope, answer cost-related questions, and adjust pricing as needed.
- Use industry tools such as Bluebeam and Innergy to efficiently prepare and present accurate cost estimates.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of casework construction, woodworking techniques, and common materials used in cabinetry and architectural millwork.
- Proficiency in interpreting architectural and construction drawings to extract detailed casework requirements.
- Accurate measurement and calculation abilities for determining material needs and dimensions.
- Solid experience preparing cost estimates that factor in materials, labor, production time, and overhead.
- Experience with digital takeoff and estimating platforms such as Bluebeam, Innergy, or similar tools.

Drafter/Engineer
Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled Drafter/Engineer to join our dynamic team. The idea candidate will have a strong background in both drafting and engineering, with a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities include creating detailed design drawings, modifying designs to meet changing specifications, and working closely with our engineering team to develop and optimize designs. The candidate should be proficient in CAD software, Microvellum, and have a solid understanding of engineering principles. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines are essential for this role. A degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is required. Experience in our industry is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science,
Engineering, Industrial Design, or relevant fieldwork
experience - Proficiency with Microvellum software and other CAD
programs (Autodesk, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino,
